Wow. I have not been here in a LONG time. I really should've been posting more updates, and I apologize sincerely for that.
A lot has happened since my last post, so let me try and fill you in.
No real news about the prayer need regarding the college student, or whoever she is, that lives in my building. I wish I could say she's moved out but she's still around and all I can do is pray.
I do have a couple other prayerful needs I want to share:
First of all, my mom was supposed to have hip surgery in May. That got postponed when she fell backwards and fractured some of the bones in her upper back. She has a compression fracture. Mom has since then gotten a back brace, as well as a walker with wheels & a seat which Medicare paid for in full. (Thank God!) She also got several pain medications.
Tonight she was admitted to the hospital after one of her friends, who comes to check on her, discovered mom hadn't gone "number 2" in two weeks and had almost no results after being administered 2 enemas. Mom had a colonoscopy 2 weeks or so ago and they said they couldn't complete it due to a blockage in her colon. So here she is with either the same or a bigger blockage, and now she'll be staying in the hospital overnight. Please be praying for her.
Today, mom went to see a surgeon about her back and they are going to give her some time to recuperate and see how she is in 3 weeks. Because mom's bones are very thin, they are against doing any procedures such as fusing the bones because it might not "take". I see this as a chance for the Lord to bring healing to mom. Let's be agreeing in prayer for Him to bring complete healing to her back, and her hip too if it be His will in Jesus' name!
BTW some people have mentioned to me that there's a good possibility my mom will be going to a nursing home to live because she's unable to care for herself. Naturally I don't want that to happen, but if it must, then it must. I would like pray that I can accept this and for God's help in dealing with it.
Now that you're caught up with that....I took an inventory of my Topper Dawn dolls and I have about 129 or so. This does not include some recent arrivals, like Angie, Longlocks & Glori or a set of other clones & dolls that should be arriving any day. I also took an inventory of my Pippas and there are about 21 of those. Much less, LOL. I haven't counted the JPI Starr dolls, clones, Fresh Look Friends, Rockflowers, etc.
Speaking of Rockflowers...I found a use for their neck knobs....they make great replacement knobs for Dawn. There's a pic and a brief description of how to harvest and utilize these knobs here:

I also unearthed some of my (Mattel) Dazzle dolls, and some Glamour Gals! (Aka GGs.) These are smaller than Dawn, and if you think making clothes for Dawn is hard, try making clothes for these little lovelies. It's a lot harder! That is, if you want to make something like pants or a top with sleeves. Fortunately, both GGs & Dazzles can wear Li'l Bratz clothing so I don't have to necessarily make them anything. I really like the Dazzle dolls, altho some of them look very much alike. I have all of the first year dolls and only one of the 2nd year new characters.

The girl is Glossy, who uses the Steffie head mold BTW, and the guy is either Ace or Glint, and he probably uses the 1980s Ken headmold. Poor guy suffers from being in either sunlight or bright lights too long and his neck is orange....if anyone knows how to remove or reduce that let me know.
Somewhere around here I have other Dazzles & GGs, but only select GGs since I don't care for the ones with molded-on clothes. I am in the process of looking for GGs or Dazzle bodies, as the Happy Meal Barbies from the 1990s (& 80s?) have heads that are the same size as Dazzle's and on a Dazzle or GG bod, would make for new "friend" dolls. Dazzle can never have too many friends.
