the world is still here

Well here it is May 22...and we're still here. ;)

The so-called "prophetic claims" of Judgment Day or the rapture on May 21 proved to be wrong, as I knew they would be, since as God says in His Word, NO ONE knows the day or hour but Him.

What's new in your "world"?

In mine I've been attempting to take pics of some new items I purchased for my Dawns, as well as some clones I kept meaning to take pics of and forgot. I have such an unsteady hand that 99 out of 100 shots will come out blurry. Even with a tripod, they still come out that way.

I'm not trying to whine here, but the camera I have, an Olympus FE-340, is not known for quality pictures. I like to keep the ISO at 64, since it produces the best quality pics. Unfortunately, I don't think you can use that setting when using the blur correction feature. A review of the camera is below.

I'm also trying to sell some of my accompaniment tapes. So far nobody has bid or purchased, but since listing & relisting them hasn't cost me anything yet, it's ok. I pray the Lord leads people to purchase or bid, if it be His will. Some of these are old and someone might be looking for something I have. If I can bless them in this way, praise the Lord. :)

Date setting and other things

Some of you have probably heard or read about certain people who claim the rapture will happen on such and such a date, or that the world will end on a certain day. Then of course there's the Mayans who say the world will end on 12/21/2012.

If you're a Christian, and you know your bible, you will already know that anyone who claims to set a date for anything is wrong. Would I love to know when the rapture will happen? Sure, but God's not about to tell me. We can know, thanks to Jesus and also the bible, approximately when the 2nd coming will be, but not the rapture, because it could happen at any time.

I'm sure there are also many of you who think the rapture is a made-up doctrine, or that because the word "rapture" isn't in the bible, it's a bogus event. If you study the Scriptures, and the original Hebrew and Greek texts, you will see that it IS real.
