This was sent to me in an email. I felt it was important enough to put here.
Time is running out. Do you know Jesus?
===================
Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!
Make a personal reflection about this.....
It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):
"Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth,
that shall he also reap.
Here are some men and women
who mocked God :
John Lennon (Singer):
Some years before, during an interview with an American magazine,
he said:
"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple.
Today we are more famous than Him."
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus
Christ, was shot six times.
Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes
from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made
President, then he died.
Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During A show in Canecio (Rio de Janeiro), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: "God, that's for you."
He died at the age of 32 of AIDS in a horrible manner.
Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
"I don't need your Jesus."
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
"Don't stop me, I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell".
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead.
He had been choked by his own vomit.
Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a
friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the
drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her
hand, who was already seated in the car:
"My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.."
She responded: "Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside
Here.....It's Already Full."
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal
accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized
as to what type of car it had been, but
surprisingly, the trunk was intact.
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained
intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs,
none was broken.
Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer) said the
Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor
vehicle .
Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other
name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.
Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still
alive.
Jesus said:
"If you are ashamed of me, I will also be ashamed of you before my father."
Know Jesus, know peace!

purpose
I'm beginning to see the purpose of all my suffering, for the first time in years.
All my experiences of dealing with bad churches, corrupt Christians (especially Pastors), and misled ministers are being used by God.
It may sound strange, but like Paul, he is encouraging others thru my suffering. Not that I claim to be as intelligent as Paul was, or as bold, although I would love to be so.
I know there are many Christians who, like me, have had bad experiences with churches. In these last days, there are many who are abusing, controlling, and leading God's people astray. It breaks His heart, I know that....and when it causes even one believer to walk away from the Lord, it is even worse.
I wish Pastors would remember WHO runs the church - it's not you, it is CHRIST JESUS. He should be the Head, the Chief Cornerstone. God has bestowed upon you a marvelous opportunity to lead His people. But it can be taken away if not used correctly. When you choose to bridle the Holy Spirit, or play favorites, you are grieving the Lord.
Believe it or not, God wants worship services to be FRESH, full of His presence....not STALE and manipulated. He WANTS the Holy Spirit to come in and take over the service. If you don't like it, take it up with HIM.
And if you are abusing His people in ANY way, may the Lord have mercy upon you, for you do not realize the damage you inflict.
THINK UPON THESE THINGS and BE CAREFUL.

What we do for the Lord matters!
Lately I've felt that I am not doing enough for the Lord, that I have to "earn" my salvation.
I was taught many years ago that while you don't have to earn your salvation initially, you do have to work for Him steadily and constantly to KEEP your salvation. (This is not true!) It's a teaching I have tried to undo and release from my mind, but it creeps back in occasionally.
The Lord reminded me of this yesterday while I was cleaning.
I was thinking of how I've said things I shouldn't, done things I shouldn't, and felt very ashamed of myself.
The Lord spoke to me and said, "do you still think you have to earn your salvation?" I said, "well yes, Lord, I do, because I'm not doing enough for you." He said, "well you pray, you read the Word, you spend time with Me...." I said, "but Lord, I don't do enough. I don't pray as much as I should or spend as much time in the Word as I should..." then He reminded me, "but you're trying. You still pray!"
He then reminded that, even though the few small things I have done for Him might seem unimportant or useless, they are still of value to Him, that I am still trying my best to serve Him during these trials of my life, and that He understands and appreciates my persistence.
Most importantly, He reminded me yesterday and today that I cannot lose my salvation, UNLESS I turn my back on Him which I will not do. (I need Him too much!!!)
It is by His grace I am saved, and that He keeps me in the palm of His hand. What a comfort!!
So if you're thinking you're not doing enough for the Lord, remember....everything we do for His glory, big or small, is seen by the Lord and is important to Him!
